I’m still working on a solution to the cloth diaper dilemma that I’m having, but I did have success in selling all of the cloth diapers I had. I hadn’t anticipated that so many of you would want them! Thanks for contacting me! Their final destination is actually really cool, so I thought I’d share where they are going to end up and how you could be a part of their destination as well.
One of my blog readers, Ellie, along with her husband and two children, Josie Joy (3 years old) and Lucy Dawn (6 weeks old) are going to Addis Abeba, Ethiopia, the first week of June to serve with the International Church for the summer. Ellie and her girls will be working with girls and their children that have been rescued from a life of prostitution through crafts and VBS. Her husband, Jeremiah will be teaching a six week couse on Biblical Doctrine at the Evangelical Theological College, one of two accredited theological colleges in Ethiopia and the only one that is interdenominational. The class is already full! In the evenings, the family will be mentoring and encouraging these students and their families through sharing meals and visits. They are trying to raise $10,000 of support.
The diapers are going, along with this sweet family, first to serve the needs of their littlest family member, and then they will be left in Ethiopia for the families there to use. Disposables are outrageously expensive in Ethiopia, so cloth is a much better option for the families there.
